They had been searching for the right furniture for one corner of the room. Debra had originally designed this nook for an R.M Schindler home at the beach, But it didn't get built. Johan and Sevile loved it so it was modified to fit their space perfectly. It seats eight people.<br /><br />Here's the 3D design rendering<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfkV8c8aeDfjG5sdyJ2c7znnGpsF3ZifMqEryqBcqnCM5fDJ0zojnHYmdDUw4xPLp9H7lU3GxBMu2ciBXXFTBYUzxFUBWt9K6a12TOC-l0TeB1YQDksjKnMogP4rd3zr9XI8-SNBQPhjru/s1600-h/Bench.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfkV8c8aeDfjG5sdyJ2c7znnGpsF3ZifMqEryqBcqnCM5fDJ0zojnHYmdDUw4xPLp9H7lU3GxBMu2ciBXXFTBYUzxFUBWt9K6a12TOC-l0TeB1YQDksjKnMogP4rd3zr9XI8-SNBQPhjru/s400/Bench.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5418135188554184498" /></a><br /><br />Here's the model in progress showing the dining setup. Debra figured out a great way of slicing all the pie shaped pieces for the top using the Festool plunge saw. The whole thing went together real easy, perfect grain matching all the way around. The finish is another story... I'm doing a full fill high gloss polished finish. After about 15 coats and a couple weeks of cure time I hit it with 800 grit sandpaper to smooth it out. Immediately it starts to get witness lines everywhere. You can see them in the photo below, the hazy squiggly shapes all over the top. This happens when the individual coats of finish sit on top of each other instead of melting together to make on thick coat. The hazy lines are where I sanded through one coat and hit another. The more you sand, the bigger they get.. I've done plenty of polished finishes and have never had this happen. I may have waited too long between coats, or something was up with the finish product. In any case, there's only one way out from here, sand all the finish off and start over...........<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi33-8KXJa0DUbimgON3SHWB_cgEzHsGSg8HX-TR0F6us_GcrinxkwPrKfeNGa8DqQByuJU8PC1fR-OJ7STO9onqLNLVOhyphenhyphenGLDsO2VFigynrbX6y4VQA8BeohWukR5jvOriqrx6b_05nGG8/s1600-h/ebonytop.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi33-8KXJa0DUbimgON3SHWB_cgEzHsGSg8HX-TR0F6us_GcrinxkwPrKfeNGa8DqQByuJU8PC1fR-OJ7STO9onqLNLVOhyphenhyphenGLDsO2VFigynrbX6y4VQA8BeohWukR5jvOriqrx6b_05nGG8/s400/ebonytop.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5391939888133830098" /></a>Lime'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07232703395154111006noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8420112689304927006.post-32703662792029980832009-06-02T21:26:00.001-07:002009-06-02T21:29:05.944-07:00Miss Hell On Wheels 2009 will be crowned<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_AItCP7J8zSs/SiX7wkTwCyI/AAAAAAAAAEI/rHsqShRv32E/s1600-h/HOW_09_SM.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_AItCP7J8zSs/SiX7wkTwCyI/AAAAAAAAAEI/rHsqShRv32E/s400/HOW_09_SM.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5342953344743770914" /></a>Lime'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07232703395154111006noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8420112689304927006.post-57074351549062444872009-03-08T12:45:00.000-07:002009-03-08T13:15:58.074-07:00Get Yer Boom Boom Here.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX7eLl74qmLPUt_Q8SIiYZ02c0w2hoMxp6qt4hOLVTRQV6LTkSvahIZGfhyH_Z0knO380zVtwj1nO98-fGV5NvTDgT8LGwaJSfwJzcjsJJ2oGPUQZ3K3q8zQbTFXwNKn_2BjFEyRjwY85X/s1600-h/Bassman_6G6-A_Blonde_Head_and_Cab_Beige_Brown_Gold.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 348px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX7eLl74qmLPUt_Q8SIiYZ02c0w2hoMxp6qt4hOLVTRQV6LTkSvahIZGfhyH_Z0knO380zVtwj1nO98-fGV5NvTDgT8LGwaJSfwJzcjsJJ2oGPUQZ3K3q8zQbTFXwNKn_2BjFEyRjwY85X/s400/Bassman_6G6-A_Blonde_Head_and_Cab_Beige_Brown_Gold.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310908381251426066" /></a><br />The 62 Fender Bassman Amp, 60 watts of buttery tone, is Known as one of the all time great GUITAR amps. It was a modified Bassman that turned into the first Marshall. I myself used one for years as my main guitar amp. But I'm here to tell you, there is no better BASS amp for making records or doing small clubs. I think it's the 12" speakers, they just go to tape so F'n smooth. Came in on thursday and found a slight cupping across the width. Solution, pile a bunch of heavy crap on top to hold it flat and let it sit awhile. Next week we'll send it through the wide belt sander, a couple passes on each side should make it dead flat.Lime'shttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07232703395154111006noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8420112689304927006.post-81166066237352937902008-12-09T18:26:00.000-08:002008-12-10T19:50:54.440-08:00<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNNsRb3SaiLzcYPRBD49x1D8xCw7sQl9A_sITUIuciPFix307lsyodOeLs-g54cmhpTeqhwD5jf-rlRKQ439z4bqzFmw8TkfkifPiqM99HWJxcKAHAFXU_SzpWUQ_BAK1LeBybaKy9pUAM/s1600-h/tank.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNNsRb3SaiLzcYPRBD49x1D8xCw7sQl9A_sITUIuciPFix307lsyodOeLs-g54cmhpTeqhwD5jf-rlRKQ439z4bqzFmw8TkfkifPiqM99HWJxcKAHAFXU_SzpWUQ_BAK1LeBybaKy9pUAM/s400/tank.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277990195149467762" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsOcZHFXYpczrntbUdhfHb9TNoxggDsUEUT8VBtgLiR79vnGI3yjUG0jl3HGQ4uomG39Hb3wrmJUwfEwIj91OzqhbanCRfSkIFpMM8jTM0B8oCXYw8AKNpTsIyl9GMVFhcw-KmJ6aphc0o/s1600-h/kz1.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 244px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsOcZHFXYpczrntbUdhfHb9TNoxggDsUEUT8VBtgLiR79vnGI3yjUG0jl3HGQ4uomG39Hb3wrmJUwfEwIj91OzqhbanCRfSkIFpMM8jTM0B8oCXYw8AKNpTsIyl9GMVFhcw-KmJ6aphc0o/s400/kz1.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5277989105431854930" /></a><br />The 77KZ1000 project is coming along. Beautifully designed by <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">Design Michael Paul Crosby </span>in San Diego.
